Position Title: Operations Controller- New York, NY Reports To: VP of Finance?Salary: $70,000 - $110,000yr, salary based on experience and education CulinArt Group operates over 250 onsite corporate, higher education, private school, healthcare and destination recreationleisure dining facilities in 18 states, including cafés, coffee bars, concessions, executive dining, catering and conference dining, social cateringspecial events, office coffee service and vending. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Operations Controller to oversee the accounting functions within assigned accounts and assist the VP of Finance with all financial activities within the NY region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, revenue control, and financial reporting, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.You'll have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, alongside a talented finance team, with room for growth within the organization.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all cash-handling procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.Perform reconciliation and analysis for various balance sheet accounts.Analyze financial results for both internal and external purposes.Track and maintain monthly P&L and balance sheet activity, ensuring accuracy and transparency.Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities to achieve financial goals.Review general ledger and balance sheet reports to ensure accuracy.Resolve various accounting and reconciliation issues as they arise.Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting.Maintain inventory and cost control procedures to ensure effective financial management.Administer payroll and Human Resources activities in alignment with company policies.Take on related duties and special projects as assigned to support operations and finance teams.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience with revenue control, financial reporting, and cash handling responsibilities.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in accounting within the food service or retail industry, with food service operations experience a plus.Ability to prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.Strong aptitude for planning, organizing, and controlling complex processes and financial information.Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and credit card reports.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.Skilled in managing multiple priorities and relationships in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other financial software.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.Apply to CulinArt today!CulinArt is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass Story!
