They are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join their team and contribute to the accurate and competitive bidding of commercial and industrial electrical projects.Position Overview:The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and market trends.Key Responsibilities:Project Estimation:Analyze project documents, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates.Prepare quantity takeoffs, labor costs, material costs, and subcontractor pricing.Bid Preparation and Submission:Collaborate with project managers and leadership to prepare competitive bids for electrical projects.Review and finalize bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and timelines.Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:Obtain pricing and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.Market Analysis and Research:Stay updated on industry trends, labor costs, and material pricing to ensure estimates are current and competitive.Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Collaboration and Reporting:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between estimates and project goals.Provide detailed reports and documentation to support estimates and bids.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial or industrial construction.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar tools).Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Experience:Familiarity with electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, and industrial facilities.Experience working with large-scale and complex electrical projects.Knowledge of local and state electrical codes in New York and surrounding pensation and Benefits:Competitive salary, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonusesComprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and opportunities for professional growthEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES NorthPoint Staffing, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
