With this growth, they are now looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to join their team.Reporting into the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible with assisting in various accounting functions including month-end, audit requests, sales and used tax, costinventory and more!Job DescriptionPrepare and review complex financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with GAAP standards.Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and proper expense allocation.Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.Research and interpret complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.Manage intercompany transactions, consolidations, and eliminations in a multi-entity environment.Review and approve vendor payments, expense reports, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.Monitor cash flow and treasury functions, optimizing working capital management.Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
