DescriptionOverview:The technician's responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment. If you are passionate about maintenance and troubleshooting while working in a fast-paced environment, Baldor could be your next stop in fulfilling your career goals.Responsibilities: •Perform maintenance and repairs on technology equipment, and provide technical support•Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.•Assessing hardware and installation functionality and preparing reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed•Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics pertaining to EFM(s), and PLC(s).•Ensure that data is current on host systems with current field wiring and monitoring.•Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.•Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.•Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.•Installs and tests products to make sure they are operational. •Responds to service requests and repairs products.•Uses diagnostic tools to determine repair plans.•Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: •High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience•6+ years of experience in a machine maintenance role (specifically in the area of position specialization) or 6+ year of trade or military school related to mechanical andor electrical repair•Training in advanced troubleshooting techniques using diagnostic tools and systems, which would allow for quicker identification of complex problems.•Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, electrical safety standards (such as NFPA 70E), and other industry-specific safety protocols.•Prior diagnostictroubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.•Advanced training in electrical safety and arc flash hazard analysis (e.g., NFPA 70E certification)•Advance knowledge in LockoutTagout•Working knowledge of the National Electric Codes, ISA standards, IEEE•Understanding of electronic color codes and other component value markings•Understanding of safety practices requirements•Solid knowledge of specialized maintenance tracking programs.Required Certifications: •Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) certifications •HVACR Certification or EPA Section 608 Certification •Welding Certification•NFPA 70E Certification (Electrical Safety)Work Environment: •Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and maintain active for long periods of time without reasonable accommodation•Able to work in cold warehouse environment (36°F - 38°F). •Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist•Ability to work extended hours as needed•Ability to work weekends and holidays as neededThis job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities.
