Act as the right hand person to the Director of FinanceRemote working opportunities (2 days work from home)About Our ClientReporting into the Director of Finance, this individual will be focused on building out and streamlining the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the organization. The Corporate Controller will also get involved in other financial aspects of the organization, including investor relations and M&A activity, while overseeing a team of five!This position has very high exposure to senior leadership, working directly alongside the Director of Finance and President. My client is looking for someone who has the eagerness to learn with an analyticalcurious mindset and approach to the job, possesses strong leadership qualities, and has the ability to interact cross-functionally.Job DescriptionCorporate Controller Responsibilities:Lead the company's accounting operations, encompassing technical accounting, general accounting, and financial reporting, while ensuring full compliance with US GAAP.Supervise the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to regulatory standards.Ensure compliance with external audit requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks.Manage investor-related financial reporting and equity transactions.Supervise a team of five, including two brand controllers, a senior staff accountant, and two staff accountants.Lead the Corporate FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making and organizational goals.Collaborate with the Director of Finance and senior leadership to provide financial insights that enhance business performance and profitability.Act as a strategic partner to the Director of Finance, providing guidance and supporting key business decisions.Drive corporate finance initiatives focused on process improvements, cost optimization, and financial risk management.Work cross-functionally with business units to align financial goals with broader corporate objectives.Lead the development of monthly business reviews, providing stakeholders with timely, detailed, and actionable insights for decision-making.Mentor and develop the finance team, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and growth.Provide coaching and development opportunities to ensure the team stays abreast of evolving accounting standards and enhances their professional growth.
