DescriptionAs a Residential Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality support services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. You will serve as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team by overseeing and assisting residents with various activities. Help the residents accomplish activities of daily life and help them gain their independence. Join our caring Comprehensive Treatment Team and feel good knowing you're making a difference in someone's life.Responsibilities: Coach residents with their personal hygiene, dressing, general household duties, etc...Show off your culinary skills in the kitchen as you help residents with shopping and meal preparationTeach residents medication management skills while complying with NH State regulationsHave a little fun, help residents participate in community activities and eventsProvide transportation as needed2nd and 3rd shifts available.RequirementsExperience:2 years of related experience that provides an individual with an understanding of mental illness.Prefer 1-year experience in a mental health settingRequired Skills:Must be able to become med certified through Agency procedure within 90 days and must maintain med certification according to WCBH standards.Excellent organizational and communications skillsBasic computer skills with the ability to learn and use Agency systems.Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to relate to staff, clients and community around a mental health system..Physical Requirements:Must meet qualification of specified TB test.Ability to access all Agency sitesAbility to lift, push andor pull 10 lbs.Other:Have and maintain a valid driver's license and personal auto insurance; and excellent driving record.Ability to obtain and maintain Agency andor State of New Hampshire required background check(s)Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence
