The APM NFT series (a cyclical, limited offering of music collectibles), offered via Dapper Labs, typically sells out within minutes.The Fixed Asset Accountant will partner with the Accounting Director on the development, interpretation, and implementation of fixed asset capitalization process, asset tracking, project accounting, and maintenance. The Fixed Asset Accountant will support the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, and will work closely with other team members to build accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. They will also assist in implementing process improvements. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly Fixed Asset capitalization scheduleDraft project and asset capitalization memo in accordance with GAAPWork with other departments and project managers on time and asset capitalization processPrepare and propose capitalization entry for both asset and labor on a monthly basisReview, track and report monthly capex spend and WIPFacilitate and complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close proceduresPrepare and review various journal entries and account reconciliationsMaintain adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well documented, accurate, and timely reportingAssist in preparation of audit work papers for year-end audits with external auditorsAssist with analysis and ad hoc reportingOther duties as assigned QualificationsStrong understanding of GAAP and full Accounting CycleStrong understanding of fixed asset capitalization and software capitalization (ASC 350)3+ years of accountingfinance experience; CPA a plus, but not requiredMust be software savvy and able to reconcile data between multiple systemsAdvanced Excel skills - i.e. vlookups, pivots, sumifs, etc.Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenSelf-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectivelyFlexible, strategic team player with high integrity and ethical standards, who is also able and willing to be extremely "hands-on"Must be proficient in all MS Office system and exposure or use of Microsoft Dynamics preferredBachelors in AccountingFinance requiredWhat's in it for you?The opportunity to work with a dynamic and well-regarded teamA challenging opportunity in an ever-changing (and rapidly growing!) industryHealth benefits, 401k, life and disability benefits and a generous time-off policyTeam building and attendance to industry eventsAPM is an equal opportunity employer.
