Job DescriptionRenewables Regulatory Policy Leader, ERCOT & Southwest (Director-VP level talent)Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)This an opportunity to join an industry leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing that is focused on the developmentexecution of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. A key focus of the role initially will be identifying and creating ERCOT based growth opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, transmission market monitoringparticipation, & power market development through public policy initiatives for innovative utility-scale energy storage projects. Other perks included a competitive base salary, open PTO policy, flex work hours, health benefits, the opportunity to work with a transparent Executive Leadership Team..and more.RESPONSIBILITIES:Renewables Regulatory Policy Leader - Develops & implements tactical corporate strategies to manage project regulatory efforts including influencing policy development across the Southwest Region with a key focus on ERCOTRenewables Regulatory Policy Leader - Drives the identification of opportunitiesthreats based on the company's project development objectives through the support of RFPs and draftingnegotiating of market design proposalsRenewables Regulatory Policy Leader - Acts as a Regulatory Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Project development, EPC, transmission market analytics teams for ERCOT PUCT filings and other state filling protocols in the Southwest RegionsRenewables Regulatory Policy Leader - Leads regulatory efforts to move projects aggressively through the ISO RTO interconnection processesRenewables Regulatory Policy Leader - Internal and external stakeholder management working with industry associations, legislators, and regulators on regulatory policy as well as market design initiativesRenewables Regulatory Policy Leader - Works hands-on with origination and development teams on power marketing decisionsQUALIFICATIONS:Utility-scale renewable energy regulatory affairs and market policy experience working with IPPs Developers OwnersCorporate leadership and stakeholder management experience dealing with regulatory bodies across the Southwest Region like ERCOT, Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), and TREMUST have PROVEN market design, public policy, and regulatory experience in the ERCOT marketSuccessful track record navigating complex regulatory initiatives for utility scale renewable energyVery well versed in regulatory commercial negotiation and risk mitigation tacticsDirect experience with the renewable energy legislation process as it relates to project developmentAbility to participate (or quickly learn to participate) in advance level discussions in the utility-scale renewables (solar...wind..storage), transmission, and battery storage spaceExperience with renewables battery storage or energy storage projects is NOT required but HIGHLY DESIRABLE
