Overview The Executive Director of Alfred Montessori School is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of the school, ensuring alignment with Montessori principles and philosophy. This role includes strategic planning, program development, staff management, financial oversight, and community engagement.Key Responsibilities Leadership and Vision -Provide visionary leadership to the preschool community, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that reflects Montessori values.-Develop and implement the school's strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors.Program Management -Oversee the development and implementation of the educational program, ensuring it aligns with Montessori principles and meets the developmental needs of children.-Evaluate and enhance curriculum and teaching practices to ensure high-quality education.Staff Management -Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate faculty and staff, fostering professional development and a collaborative work environment.-Promote a culture of continuous improvement and support staff in their growth and development.Financial Oversight -Develop and manage the preschool's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible fiscal practices.-Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for the Board of munity Engagement -Build and maintain positive relationships with families, the local community, and other stakeholders.-Promote the school's mission and programs through outreach, marketing, and community pliance and Policy -Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and Montessori accreditation requirements.-Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practices in early childhood education and administration.Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in education or related field-Montessori certification is highly desirable but not required-Proven experience in an educational leadership role, preferably in a early childhood setting.-Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and best practices.-Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.-Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial operations.-Passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering a positive educational environment.Working Conditions -This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours for events and meetings.-The Director will work in an office environment as well as in classrooms and outdoor spaces.Application Process Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and references to more information see the school website.recblid vvf0bz01jijat1vump83fhvi579mqy
