While this position will allow the selected individual to regularly work from home, the selected individual must be located in California for occasional site visits, client meetings, etc. The selected candidate can be based out of our office in Diamond Bar, CA or preferably, located in northern California. In this role, you will take a prominent role in the planning, design, permitting, and construction of biogas and landfill gas systems, solid waste handling and disposal facilities as well as other environmental projects. You will work with our senior management team and work with our current team of Client Managers, Senior Project Managers, and other Project Managers located throughout the company and across the country, and you may oversee and direct the activities of engineers, scientists, technicians and clerical staff toward successful completion of projects. This position will combine office assignments with occasional site visits and client involvement. The pay scale for this position is 130k-180k annually, based on qualifications and experience.Your Role:Perform technical analysis of biogas to renewable and solid waste projects in California and the Western United States Work in all phases of a project from investigation to constructionremediation, including preparation of drawings, plans, specifications, reports, bid documents, and certificationsDesign biogas collection, leachate, stormwatersurface water management and liner systemsPrepare construction plans and specificationsPrepare construction cost estimatesManage projects, schedules, and budgets effectivelyPrepare proposals and meet with clients and regulatorsImplement safe work practicesAnalyze systems based on operational objectives and regulatory compliancePrepare permit documents for new site developments, permit modifications, and site closuresOversee construction projects for conformance with engineering and regulatory standardsCo-author or publish papers in your area of expertiseMaintain client relationships with existing clients and be able to develop new client relationshipsManage and prepare the development proposal scopes and budgets to facilitate the group work backlogManage and mentor staff toward team developmentBe able to work with other senior team members to facilitate group planning, growth, and developmentRead, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical reports, financial reports, and legal documents Write environmental reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Geological or Environmental Engineering or an allied field8+ years of experience in engineering projects40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plusSupervisory experience is a plusProfessional Engineer certification in the state of California is preferred and other Western states is a plusAutoCADCivil 3D or GIS skills is a plusExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to supervise technical and support staff and to provide leadership and mentoring to professional personnelExperience with biogas and landfill gas systems and solid waste industry is a plusProven technical skills in design andor constructionOutstanding knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite, and PDF editors (Bluebeam or Adobe)Excellent interpersonal skills and unwavering personal integrityExcellent organizational and time management skillsSelf-disciplinedmotivated individual who also works well in a team environmentValid driver's license Life at Tetra Tech:The perks of working at Tetra Tech include:Comprehensive and market-competitive benefits.Merit-based financial rewards.Flexibility and company-wide commitment to worklife balance.Collaborative team atmosphere that values the contributions of all employees.Learning and development opportunities for ongoing professional growth.
