The Design Manager manages the architectural and engineering design processes to conform to professional industry and MTA C&D standards.ResponsibilitiesReviewscreates in-house technical designs for non-Design-Build projects.Responsible for monitoring andor auditing third-party technical design and engineering activities for compliance with the contract's requirements.Provides continuous design oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle.Manages and allocates design review team members to project schedulesmilestones.Acts as technical authority & governance.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Competencies: Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have focus and ability to deliver on results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Must possess excellent team building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
