POSITION: Senior Conflicts Attorney (Global Law Firm)COMPANY: Global AM 100 Law FirmLOCATION: New York, NY or Washington, DC (Hybrid)COMP PACKAGE: Base up to $300K, Full Benefits, 401K+, transportation, health club benefits, etc.Responsibilities for Senior Conflicts Attorney (Global Law Firm):Review conflict reports prepared in connection with the global business intake process. Identify potential legal and business conflicts of interest issues, and provide detailed analysis and adviceDraft conflict waivers, facilitate requests and coordinate tracking waivers in firm systemsReview conflict reports prepared in connection with the new hire process; provide detailed analysis and advice firm partners as well as advising new hires on conflict issuesErect and maintain ethical walls and other legal screensProvide guidance to team of non-lawyer analysts in support of the business intake process, including best practices on corporate family research, and other aspects of the preparation of conflict check reportsAssist in drafting standard engagement letters and editing letters drafted by othersAnswer queries from attorneys and professional staff across the firm, concerning business intake policies and procedures, conflicts of interest, and other firm policiesAssists in maintaining thorough, accurate and current records of all conflicts resolutions in database to ensure integrityQualifications for Senior Conflicts Attorney (Global Law Firm):Requires a JD and at least 4+ years relevant conflicts experience at a top-tier law firmAdmission in NY,or DC requiredExperience analyzing and advising on U.S. conflicts rules, preferably the New York Rules of Professional Conduct and related guidance, a plus.Knowledge of InTapp conflict checking and business intake systems a plus.Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills a mustMust possess strict attention to detail and be accustomed to working to very high standards of accuracy and efficiency, coupled with strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly-evolving environmentRequires excellent judgment, ability to make risk-based assessments and capability of solving problems and making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity and imperfect information
