Radiology Technologist

A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Radiology Technologist to join their growing team. In this role, Radiology Technologist will be responsible for producing radiographs of various parts of the body and positioning patients under the X-Ray machine and regulates technical factors to produce radiographs. About the Opportunity: Assignment Length: 2 months Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 8am to 4pm Patient Population: Mostly adults EMR: MediTech Responsibilities: The Radiology Technologist will: Assist the Radiologists in X-Ray procedures Prepare patients, draw contrast media, mix barium and maintain daily work log Position and transfer patients to and from x-ray table using proper safety techniques Select proper technical factors for examination Develop film by automatic or daylight processing Assist the Physician in administering opaque media and during fluoroscopy exams. Maintain daily worksheet for assigned room; maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned rooms. Rotate radiographicfluoroscopicOR room when assigned; maintain adequate room supplies srespiratory and suction tubing. Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school for Radiologic Technology Current NYS licenseregistration in Radiologic Technology ARRT registered Patient oriented Solid assessment and documentation skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized
