The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is the top professional women's soccer league in the USA, with 14 teams and +300 of the best soccer players in the world. In its 12th season, the league continues to grow exponentially, with 2024 attendance topping 2 million fans for the first time- the third straight year the league surpassed 1 million in total attendance. Viewership across all broadcast media partners - Amazon, CBS, ESPN and Scripps - was up 285% year over year, and team valuations continue to soar. This growth underscores the league's expanding fan base and growing presence in both the sports media landscape and in pop culture. The future of the NWSL has never looked brighter.Position Description: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Operations Manager assists with all matters related to the league's operations and competition.Primary Responsibilities:Supervise in the execution of the league's match operations and security initiatives including match presentation as well as match and event security and accreditation.Assist with the Video Review program to coordinate weekly VAR recap calls with all the entities involved with Video Review and communication with LTR and post-match reports.Serve as the primary contact for the teamsreferees for all competition, referee, VAR and event matters.Advise clubs on the NWSL Kit Policies and ensure uniform selections are satisfactory to both our apparel partner and the clubs.Serve as the primary contact for the teamsreferees for all competition, referee and event matters.Assist with the development and refinement of league's operations, competition and referee policies, procedures and documents.Manage the Professional Match Evaluator program.Help facilitate the execution of reserve league match operations and post-match reporting.Assist with the development and refinement of league's operations, competition and referee policies, procedures and municate with all stakeholders on game days any significant events as required.Help facilitate the development and enforcement of team compliance with the league's VAR, operations. competition and referee policies and procedures.Monitor each teams' on-field environment to ensure product quality and compliance with league plete pre-season and in-season site visits to ensure facilities and processes meet or exceed league standards.Assist in the execution of league events (NWSL Challenge Cup and NWSL Championship).Managing the inventory of League gear and distribution.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required2+ years of progressive experience in sports administrationAbility to multitask and execute without close supervisionExcellent organizational and project management skillsAbility to maintain strong 'customer service' and follow-up with all team inquiriesAbility to deliver high quality work and execute under pressuredeadlinesAble and willing to travel up to 30% of the timeAble and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidaysDesired Qualifications:Has a strong professional and positive presenceimage that represents the league both internally and externallyGuided by strong moral and ethical principlesKnowledge of the sport of soccerPursues lifelong development and learningCommunicates in a direct, open and honest mannerAccountable for actionsdecisions and does not make excusesSeeks feedbackPractices self-assessment and self-reflectionWhat we offer:An incredible inclusive culture that is committed to diversity.Medical, Dental, Vision and Mental health benefits for employees and dependents.Short and Long-term disability and life insurance paid by the company.Unlimited paid time off, sick days and end of the year office closure.401k with employer match, safe harbor contributions from the company in addition to the employer match.Voluntary pet insurance.Hybrid work schedule.NWSL observes a hybrid work schedule of three working days in the physical office and two remote working days.
