Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the the role of CivilStructural Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for buildings and facilitiesConduct inspection of electrical, mechanicalHVAC and site civilMonitor, record and inspect progress on construction projectsCoordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders and performing in-place soil compaction testingReceive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progressPerform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.Knowledge of construction inspection of major transportationinfrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTANYCT, NJ Transit, NYCDDC, NYCSCA are required.Excellent Organizational and communication skillsPE license in New York or New JerseyOSHA 30-hour trainingACI Concrete Special Inspection and ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certificationsPreference given to local candidatesQualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
