The Executive Assistant will support the Head of Corporate Development and Strategy. Corporate Development & Strategy works with the Executive Office and stakeholders in the business and corporate functions to design and drive key strategic priorities for Mizuho's Corporate and Investment Bank in the Americas region. The team's scope of work spans many facets of the firm's development and transformation, including firm-wide strategic planning, business-division specific growth areas (e.g., new product development, inorganic growth opportunities), process & operational improvements, and principal investment activities. The team provides support to the Executive Office and partners with the Technology division on digital innovation initiatives.Our projects provide exposure to business initiatives across multiple lines of business and products, as well as exposure to learning the operational aspects of a large foreign banking institution. This individual will be a meaningful contributor to high-priority, high-visibility projects of the firm, which at times require high time demands of the team. The individual will enjoy a project-oriented, team-oriented working environment that involves balancing multiple deadlines and stakeholders in an organized manner. The team prioritizes a culture of intellectual curiosity, self-study, and professional office 4 days a weekResponsibilitiesFunction as gatekeeper to Head of departmentManage complex, ever-changing calendars and strategic schedulingAssist in other administrative support tasks as assigned by Department Head and direct reportsStrategically prepares Department Head for meetings and events in advancePro-active in managing schedule on a forward outward approachMultitask in a high paced environmentManage travel & entertainment arrangement domestically and internationallyRevise, print and bind PowerPoint presentationsCoordinate communications among management of Banking DivisionManage general office needs such as ordering supplies and mail distributionManage conference room reservations, dial in number reservationsAssist with client meetings (order food and greet clients)QualificationsAt least 5-7 years of Administrative Assistant experience within Financial ServicesPrior experience supporting a C-Suite teamAdvanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency requiredExhibits a strong work ethic, professionalism, confidentiality and good judgmentWell-developed interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, self-motivated, team oriented, works well under pressureIncredibly organized and resourceful while having the ability to multi-task with great attention to detail and follow throughPersonable with a can-do attitude that sees no task or project as too big or too smallTime management and multitasking skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills Willingness to assist in duties called upon at last minute noticeWillingness to undertake new tasksMust be able to work well with the Administrative Support GroupThe expected base salary ranges from $100,000.00 to $120,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
