The PresenTense Group employs entrepreneurship as a tool to grow local economies, enrich community life and solve critical issues facing society. Through our community- based accelerators, innovation workshops and entrepreneurship consulting, we aim to make entrepreneurship accessible to all and accelerate social impact in communities across the globe. Over the past 7 years, we have run more than 50 accelerators and launched over 630 ventures. We are a hard-working, laid back (yet professional!) and flat team, and are looking for a part-time New York Fellowship Coordinator to strategize and execute PresenTense's only in-house Accelerator with ease and enthusiasm. As the fourth staff member on our small and nimble team, you will play an integral part of the important work we do, so you must be passionate all 20 hours a week you come to work.This job is a part-time, 20 hour per week position for November 2014 through June 2015. Compensation will be $15,000 for the duration of your time with us, with the potential to continue past June contingent upon organizational needs. Please note that many events required for this position are held on nights and weekends because all Fellowship programming is held outside of normal working hours!About the role:The PresenTense NYC Fellowship Coordinator is a high-growth professional opportunity for anyone interested in business development, community development and entrepreneurship education. Reporting to the Director of Programs and Business Development, this self-motivated, organized professional will join an international team of high-level professionals and educators.The fellowship coordinator is responsible for implementing the PresenTense NYC Fellowship including:Oversight of admissions process for PresenTense NYC Fellows: launch application, recruit applicants, and administer selection process in conjunction with local volunteers and PresenTense staffRecruit, manage, and communicate regularly with local volunteer base that includes an steering committee, topical speakers, and mentors and coaches working directly with fellowsSupervise and communicate regularly with fellows; provide hand-on support to them in developing their ventures and connecting to the local Jewish community Execute fellowship programming, including but not limited to: coordinating fellow seminars, committee meetings, fellow gatherings, "roundtable" speakers series, and the culminating Launch Night event for fellowsOversee and maintain the program budgetBuild relationships and network with participants in the program and the larger Jewish and social innovation networks throughout NYC as an ambassadorBe a part of our network of PresenTense coordinators in cities throughout the U.S. and the globeExecute program evaluation processExperience that will be useful:Program managementEvent coordination and planningVolunteer managementKnowledge of the Jewish communal andor social innovation spaceMarketing, design, and social media is a plus!
