Department: Temp CenterSalaryGrade: TMP01 Position: Temporary Program Assistant, Donor and Alumni Relations Hours: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week 8:30am-5pm M-F (may vary; hybrid potential after 1 mo) Pay: $21.00 per hour Campus: Chicago Approximate start date: 1212025 Approximate end date: 7252025 Northwestern University is seeking a temporary full-time Program Assistant for the Chicago campus. Temporary Job Description: Donor Relations duties (2.5 daysweek): Provide administrative support for donor recognition activities, including preparation, execution, and wrap-up duties for a donor recognition event in early May. Tasks include: assisting with mail merges (Word); formatting of digital and printed documents; executing mailings; look-upsqueries in the organizational CRM; preparation of Excel spreadsheets; data entry; list management; and data clean-up, as well as assembling event materials, expense reports, etc. Perform database updates for current and historical donor recognition signage projects and principal gift donor stewardship tasks. Provide administrative support for the Donor Relations group. Print letters and reports; coordinate and execute mailings. May be asked to assist with donor-focused events. Proofing and editing reports and letters. May assist with other writing, editing, and project management tasks as needed. Possibly assist with report layout, finding photos, etc. Alumni Relations duties (2.5 daysweek): Provide administrative support for alumni engagement activities, including preparation, execution, and wrap-up duties for Alumni Weekend 2025. Tasks include: assisting with mail merges (Word); formatting of digital and printed documents; executing mailings; look-upsqueries in the organizational CRM; preparation of Excel spreadsheets; data entry; list management; and data clean-up, as well as assembling gift bags and event materials, expense reports, etc. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree One year in a communications, business administration, data management, or administrative support role Strong data management skills (collection, analysis, distribution, maintenance) and experience with modern database and information system technologies Project management skills and demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced use of Word, Outlook, and especially Excel Indesign experience, if possible, but not mandatory Strong oral and written communication skills.
