With two distinct waterfront seating areas, Drift In features easy-going beach fare, craft cocktails, summery wines, crisp beers, and epic sunsets.DETAILS Job Overview Position Summary Servers g uide our guests, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages, ingredients and general preparation of items on our menu. Servers exhibit great communication skills and a pleasant friendly attitude at all times. Servers take orders efficiently and accurately, maintain a neat and orderly environment, and ensure that guests have an unforgettable experience. First and foremost, Servers are part of the Crew; a Server's job is to be present for their co-workers and to work together to make the guest experience the highest priority. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accurately take guests' orders and input into POS system while maintaining correct transaction recordsComply with Crew and Department of Health established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards; observe proper food preparation and handling techniques and safety protocolsComply with Crew safety plan and standards as set forth in training materialsEffectively communicate guest needs with FOHBOH and management teamEnsure compliance with all State and local alcohol ordinances and the implementation of those ordinancesInteract with guests with positivity and composure in all circumstancesMaintain knowledge and understanding of every item on the menu and answer guest questions with clarity and confidence, providing recommendations upon requestProvide friendly, gracious, motivated, detail oriented, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guestsReport to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policyServe tables as directed by management and in compliance with Crew trainingWork in collaboaration with staff to ensure food and beverage is received by guests in a timely manner Minimum Qualifications Ability to multi-taskAbility to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast-paced environmentAbility to walk, stand, andor bend continuously and for extended periods of time as required to perform essential job functionsAble to lift 30+ lbs.Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the businessBe of legal age to serve alcoholExcellent verbal communication skillsFluent in both written and spoken EnglishGeneral knowledge of industry safety standards and proceduresPolished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee HandbookState applicable health andor alcohol compliance cardWillingness to work in outdoor climate conditions Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of th is position.
