The candidate reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for supporting a variety of logistics needs across Perioperative Services. The candidate will be a high-touch leader and requires frequent interaction with Suppliers, Logistics, Vendors, Internal Supply Chain, Customers, and End Users to understand critical perioperative needs.1. Manage, develop, and mentor staff (Clerical Associates, Assistant Coordinating Managers, and Coordinating Managers). Create, perform, and maintain standard workflow for all positions, including staff competenciestraining. Oversee staff responsibilities such as, but not limited to, annual competencies, annual evaluation, compliance with time and attendance, training, timesheet completion, scheduling, and so forth.2. Manage day-to-day operations; Assist in troubleshooting root cause cases and problem resolution as required.3. Ensures the safe and timely delivery of goods and services across the department and keeps the receiving area neat and orderly.4. Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and develop ways to analyze data to help make informed decisions and stay current on the latest compliance standards.5. Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage strategic relationships between Suppliers, Logistics, Vendors, Internal Supply Chain, Customers, End Users, and more.6. Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.7. PurchasingOrderInventory:a. Manages overall purchasing activities for operation in a cost-effective and timely manner.b. Coordinates receipt of invoices and delivery notes for approval. Keeps accurate and up-to-date on all supply transactions.c. Creates, manages, monitors, and replenishes PAR levels of stocked supplies.d. Follows up and verifies ordersinventories taken against the system and investigates discrepancies.8. Supply Chain:a. Follow up with vendors to ensure purchase orders have the correct price and manage surgical supplies. Build and actively monitormanage budgetary needs. This includes, but is not limited to, addressing Bill Only, FPOs, and others.b. Communicate with providers and perioperative staff any surgical supplies on order and those on backorder.a. Reports, communicates, and follows up with vendors regarding any surgical supplies and equipment that malfunctioned andor needed repair.b. Completes, submits and follows up on the Clinical Equipment Form for equipment purchasing.c. Follows policy and procedure of tissue acquisition. Enters and logs tissue information in the organization's tissue tracking system. Maintains and updates the paper list of tissues in the freezer.d. Keeps and maintains a file with vendor credentials.e. Checks requests from EMR Case Entry, minimum within a 2-week advance period, and has all requested suppliesimplantsloanersequipment available timely.f. Monitors, reviews, and addresses supply expiration dates.2. Participation:a. Attends staff meetings or equivalent to update knowledge related to current departmenthospital issues. Participates in product evaluation activities.Responsibilities1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in hospital administration,health care administration, public health or a related discipline; or2. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as described in "1" above,and one (1) year of administrative experience; or3.
