Job Overview:As a Product Manager for Hardgoods, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development, management, and successful launch of hardgoods products within our company. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to end-of-life, and collaborate with various teams to ensure the products meet market demands, align with business goals, and maintain high-quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Product Strategy and PlanningConduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities for new football protective equipment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, manufacturing, marketing, and sales, to define product requirements and features.Assist in the creation of product development plans, timelines, and forecasts.Product Development and ManagementManage the product development process from ideation to product launch, ensuring products are developed on time and within budget.Work closely with the R&D team to design and engineer products that meet original design brief requirements and customer expectations.Market and Competitive AnalysisServe as key point of contact between Key Account Managers elite customers and other Riddell departments and products.Analyze competitors' products and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation.Monitor market dynamics, consumer feedback, and industry developments to adapt product strategies accordingly.Product Launch and MarketingCollaborate with the product marketing team to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including product descriptions, and promotional content.Provide support to the sales team by equipping them with product knowledge, sales tools, and training materials.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with various teams, such as sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to product development and management.Act as the main point of contact between teams to facilitate communication and ensure alignment on product-related initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.Proven experience (typically 3+ years or more) as a Product Manager, preferably in the sporting goods industry or a related -depth understanding of product development processes and project management.Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.Familiarity with market research methodologies and competitive analysis.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Travel RequiredYes. 3 to 4 trips a year to visit customers, vendors or attend trade shows.Qualifications:EducationRequiredBachelors or better.PreferredBachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field.ExperiencePreferred3 years: Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the sporting goods industry or a related field.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Job Questions:Are you authorized to work in the United States?Tell me about yourself both personally & professionallyWhy are you interested in this role?
