Job DescriptionManages events, weddings, planning and sales for Cruiseport a beautiful waterfront venue. Work as a team to implement and manage social and corporate events each year.Experience and SkillsResearching markets to identify potential clientsMeet with potential clients for facility tour and consultation of their event. Ascertaintheir precise event requirements; including event-type, budget, number of guests, etcProducing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legalobligations, staffing and budgets).Agree to and manage a budget for each event.Produce a contract and ensure signature by the client and a deposit is secured on a timelybasisEnsure all insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered toCoordinate venue management, caterers, contractors and equipment hireIdentify and secure speakers or special guestsPlan room layouts and timing of the entertainment program (Use of Social Tablessoftware)Coordinate staffing requirements before, during, and after event.Coordinate with clients and designers to create a brandtheme for the event.Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event toensure that the Guest's special event runs smoothlyOversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently toreturn Ballroom to presentation standards.Create post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports forevent stakeholders).Other job-related duties, as assignedThe Beauport Hospitality Group is an equal opportunity employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
