Established in 1924, the golf course has long been referred to as "a hidden gem" and the clubhouse is a designated historical building by the Palos Verdes Historical Society.BENEFITS: Vacation & Paid Sick LeaveMedical, Dental, Vision, EAP, and Life Insurance401k with Club MatchHoliday PayEmployee Meals DailyEmployee Discounts on Food and MerchandiseEligible for Club Scholarship programEmployee referral programWork at a great location with great people!ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE LIMITED TO: Approach all interaction with Members, guests, and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented mannerRemain attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous, and respectful to Members, guests, managers and fellow employees at all timesAssist with creating and implementing Maintenance department standard operating proceduresEnsure all repairs comply with internal policies and external regulations (ADA, OSHA, etc.)Ensure and maintain a clean, safe and productive environment for Members, guests and staff Assist with and follow maintenance programs for a variety of equipmentAssist with managing repair and installation activities, whether performed by internal or external service providersAssist with overseeing materials and parts required for maintenance and repairs and acquire necessary suppliesCoordinate walk-throughs with Facilities Supervisor and Health Department inspectors to identify maintenance needsAssist with keeping maintenance log up to date and provide regular maintenance activity progress reports to General Manager Assist with managing preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipmentRespond to all maintenance situations with a strong sense of urgencyAssist maintenance team and supervisor with essential duties including, but not limited to: sand, staining, painting, emptying trash, cleaning floors, repairing floors, servicing restrooms, cleaning windows, moving furniture, setting up for events, etc.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specificationsAssist with monitoring building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are avoidedInform Management, Staff and Members are aware of any maintenance activity that may raise questions Order supplies andor equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance dutiesMaintain clean and organized Storage Room and Maintenance officeAttend all trainings and meetings as requiredrequestedFollow all established Club and departmental policies, procedures, standards, systems, controls and objectivesPerform other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 2 years' maintenance experience preferred; country club experience preferredPrior supervisory experience preferred Intermediate knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipmentmachineryIntermediate knowledge of proper chemical handling preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequently standswalks for prolonged periods of time, at least eight hoursAbility to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reachAbility to push, pull, carry, and lift at least 50 pounds; ability to maneuver a dolly or hand truckAbility to withstand continuous repetitive motionsWorks indoors and outdoorsMay be exposed to loud noiseMay come into contact with fumes, open flames, hot and cold surfaces, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, sharp knives and other objectsBackground check and pre-employment drug screening required
