Are you living your life's work?Encore Consignment & Resale Shop -now hiring Located in Kennett Square, we are a quality resale consignment shop specializing in jewelry and home furnishings.All proceeds benefit Chester County Hospital. This year alone - we have raised over $300k!Regular Staff Hours are Monday - Saturday 8:30 to 4:30. Various shift structures are available. All staff members work some Saturdays each month.NOTE:•Encore is closed most Penn Medicine holidays and during inclement weather situations•Encore is also closed for two (2) weeks around the holidays and for six (6) weeks during the summer.•These Encore closures are all unpaid.General Summary Statement •Works directly under the Encore Shop Manager •Processing incoming inventory, including data entry, tagging and placement•Assisting customers at the sales counter with their purchases. This may include processing the sales transactions, wrapping and packaging fragile items and answering questions.•Maintaining a neat and well-organized selling floor•Replying to customer inquiries (phone, in-person and e-mail)•Work with Jewelry processing team as needed.•Provides customer satisfaction through excellent service •Working knowledge of computers and basic operations. Encore uses a basic Point-of-Sale system that requires use of computer, mouse and scanners•Familiarity with current fashion and home dcor trends•While staff members are not lifting heavy furniture or equipment, team members must be able to lift small boxes, bundles of clothing, etc.•Able to handle a flexible schedule. There may be weeks of many hours and some weeks with fewer. This tends to be seasonal.•Able to easily interact with and support team members and volunteersEducation Training and Experience •High School Diploma required •Retail Experience andor Customer Service We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
