The GW Dining Team oversees 3 all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, 12+ retail locations, and much more.Position Specific Summary Dining Services is part of GW's Business Services Team overseeing all food operations on both Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon Campuses. The Student Dining Auditor is a member of the GW Dining Services team and is responsible for conducting audits of all-you-care-to-eat (AYCTE) dining halls to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational efficiency.Primary Responsibilities include:Conduct Dining Hall AuditsVisit all three AYCTE dining halls (Pelham Commons, Shenkman, Thurston) during eachshift.Audit food safety standards by taking photographs and recording food temperatures.ReportingPrepare an end-of-shift report summarizing audit findings, including photographs,observations, and recorded temperatures.Email the report to the GW Dining Team, including the Executive Director of Dining.Ensure Safety and Sanitation ComplianceAdhere to ServSafe food safety standards during audits.Successfully complete the ServSafe FOOD HANDLER certification process during onboarding.Team CollaborationAttend bi-weekly team meetings (1 hour) scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.Other ResponsibilitiesPerform additional duties related to dining services as assigned. Standard Position Description The student will provide food service assistance for the university by monitoring food service practices or supporting GW andor community events. Tasks may include: monitoring dining hall food availability and food safety practices, performing as a server, assisting with kitchen prep, setting up facilitiesdining areas for events, or greeting guests.Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
