The Event Lead Chef is responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards.Types of events that can be expected:Cocktail receptions, seated dinnerBreakfast & lunch buffets Private dining Weddings, galas and other large eventsThis role pays an hourly wage of $30 to $35.Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.ResponsibilitiesAbility to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environmentHave experience on multiple stations in the kitchenEnsuring that food portions and food presentation meets Events standardsMust have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cookingAssists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assignedMaintains a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu itemsMaintains a clean work environment, including floors and passagesCleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management teamAssists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. clean and organized.Assisting the unloading of deliveriesManage a team of 15+ or more kitchen assistancesWork closely with event captain to create a positive client experience Ensure sanitation standards meet city compliance Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors Assist with set-up and cleaning operational areas QualificationsProfessional work ethic2-3 years of related cook experiencePrepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracyEffective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisorsFlexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when requiredExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issuesSupport their fellow cooks by being a team player
