Details Client NameMount Sinai - Union Square Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyAmbulatory Job ID30759309 Job TitleRN - Outpatient - Contract - MSH Weekly Pay$2113.25 Shift Details ShiftDay - 7.5x5 - 07AM Scheduled Hours37 Job Order Details Start Date03172025 End Date05172025 Duration9 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Outpatient Job Duration: 9 months Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 or 9 am - 4 or 5 pm Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years RNLPN experience; 2 years of ambulatory experience; 1 year travel experience for travel positions License: NYS RNLPN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model and through the application of the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease while anticipating needs and readiness to learn.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team.- Manage assignments within the care delivery model and demonstrate effective allocation of material resources.- Role model relationship-centered care through actions including Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, HELP protocol, Purposeful Hourly Rounding, Medication Review, Discharge Wrap-Up, and collaboration.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and families, considering values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge.- Use evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patient perceptions of care.- Initiate service recovery for patients and families with concerns, escalating as needed.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.- Demonstrate clinical skills and knowledge crucial to quality and safety in patient populations served.- Engage in process improvement strategies and contribute to compliance measures.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with supervisors to ensure appropriate utilization of supplies and inventory.- Document accurately and thoroughly in compliance with standards of care and facilitate patient throughput on a shift basis.- Contribute to the environment of care to support colleagues, patients, families, and the healthcare team.- Advance clinical competence in nursing practice and engage in life-long learning and innovation.- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives. Education: Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. An associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience andor active matriculation in a BSN Program.
