Licensed Practice Nurse - Mobile Methadone Program

This posting is for full-time, first shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.We are a Mobile Methadone Clinic for high-risk adults in need of same-day care that is not an emergency in Philadelphia. We are 100% community-based conducting mobile engagement and the first of its kind in the City of Philadelphia! We serve individuals with substance use concerns by providing Mobile Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).The LPN will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.Administerdispense methadone per State and Federal GuidelinesEnsure adequate recording of the administrationdispensing transactionEnsure that the treatment plan of the physician andor medical director is being followed Assess client response to treatment and medication dosageinteractions Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor's orders, etc., as requiredMonitor tuberculosis, HIV, and HepC testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when necessary Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, AED, Emergency Medications)BenefitsMerakey offers competitive compensation plans and more! Merakey welcomes all Veterans to apply!The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Graduate from an accredited practicalvocational nursing programCurrent license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA3 years of nursing experience is required Experience with drawing labs, performing EKGs, wound care, and triage is required. Experience with chemically dependent populations preferredMinimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependenceCurrent CPR certification is required
