Overview of PositionThe Pricing Analyst performs various actuarial functions including pricing, forecasting and experience analysisreporting for Home Warranty products. They provide advanced analysis to moderately complex, defined tasks & projects. This role recommends and implements techniques which support Assurant in achieving its goals related to revenue and profitability targets. The Pricing Analyst demonstrates the ability to understand direction provided in project deliverables, time management, and development. This role may also participate in the department's exam and rotational programs, which provides the opportunity to gain experience in numerous areas of the Actuarial organization while also understanding the different products included in Assurant's product suite. The Pricing Analyst reports to a senior level position in the Actuarial department.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Ability to review requirements and provide essential details for internal and external inquires and ad hoc requests as directed by manager.Locates and reconciles data from various source systems; ensures accuracy and recognizes adjustments needed for possible data anomalies.Gathers information from different internal departments and complete reports and analysis as directed; understands and develops process flows; incorporate feedback provided for reporting and communications.Identifies system and data inefficiencies; provide recommendations to resolve.Implements solutions to translate financial projections into business metrics; aware of area productivity, processes, & business profitability.Participates in cross-training and knowledge sharing within teamdepartment to accomplish goals.Actively manages self-development. May take actuarial exams in pursuit of professional designation.What are the requirements needed for this position? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related fieldMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience.Minimum of 3 years of progressive responsibilities or related experience in a pricing role.Has advanced level of understanding home warranty products or industry knowledgeAdvanced proficiency in MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, PowerBI, SharePoint.Advanced proficiency in various data repository platforms (SASSQLetc.)Proficiency with coding (SQL, PowerBI)Ability to manage projects to required deadlines in a changing environment.What other skillsexperience would be helpful to have?Exhibits advanced skills in completing moderate to complex, defined tasks & projects.Handles basic conflicts independently and seeks advice on more complicated matters.Establishes rapport with internal and external groups to stay abreast with ongoing activity that may need actuarial engagement.Demonstrates cordial, clear, and concise writing abilities through various forms of media related to technical and non-technical topics.#AssurantProudMS Pay Range:$72,900.00 - $121,900.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.Expected application deadline is 02212025If date is blank then this is a pipeline requisition, and we will continue to collect applications on an ongoing basis.Helping People Thrive in a Connected WorldConnect with us.
