Operations Analyst

An alternative investment management firm in New York City is looking to add a new Operations Analyst to their growing team. In this role, the Operations Analyst will be responsible for acting as a liaison with tradingfinancing desks, counterparties, exchanges, prime brokers, and custodians to assist in the lifecycle of a trade. Responsibilities: The Operations Analyst will: Support trade allocation, confirmation, inventory management and product life cycle for Fixed Income Securities Manage client relationships with the trading desks, counterparties, exchanges, and prime brokers Work directly with trading desks to understand and implement posting and clearance of new trading strategies Identify opportunities to improve process, define functional requirements for systems, and implement change Work with industry leading clearing agencies on trade comparison, netting and exception-based processing Qualifications: 6+ months of experience in a Back Office, Financial, andor Operations environment Bachelor's Degree Familiar with Financial Markets and Instruments, specifically Equities and Fixed Income products Prior experiences in DTCFED Settlements, Tri-party Repo, andor Securities Lending Knowledge of basic Accounting principles & procedures Solid understanding and experience driving straight-through processing (STP) Project management experience Advanced proficient in Microsoft Excel (ie: formulas, v-lookups, pivot tables) and data analysis
