Richelieu is seeking a Construction Outside Sales Representative to take responsibility for expanding Richelieu's customer base by focusing on contractor and builder relationships in the Boston and surrounding New England area. More can be found out about us at as well as Richelieu YouTube.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the overall relationship and management of day-to-day sales activities towards customers and clients in hisher territory. This person will largely focus on products in our Onward product category. You will successfully manage the sales of Richelieu product solutions through structured consultative sales discussions, ultimately serving as a business advisor towards your customers. By positioning yourself as an indispensable resource, you will enable your customers to solve problems and increase business results. In turn, you will be building a thriving business of your own.Develop a strong understanding of, and build a network of relationships with, builders and contractors in your local areaSchedule and hold meetings with new and existing customers, learning about their business and how Richelieu product solutions can enhance their resultsMaintain accountability for the growth of your territory, both through new customer acquisition as well as the development of existing relationshipsIdentify and analyze past buying patterns of current accounts, and brainstorm ways to become their stronger, more inclusive supplierProvide a state of the art customer service experience, positioning yourself as their desired one-stop shopEducate yourself on, and continuously stay up to date with, Richelieu's product offerings as well as ever-changing market conditions and competitive analysisHold responsibility for system information and reporting in CRM applicationPosition may require liftingpushingcarrying items up to 50 poundsWhat We Are Looking For3+ years of sales experience is ideal - a background in selling to the construction industry andor builders is necessary for successA strong, innate drive to excel in sales efforts, excellent social skills, and highly self-motivatedPassionate, proactive, coachable, strong work ethicAbility to schedule and manage your own time, delivering on the activities that produce resultsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsDeveloped analytical, planning, organizing, and monitoring skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; must be able to effectively use Excel, Word, Outlook for daily responsibilities and tasksAs this position requires regular automobile travel, you must have your own independent, reliable transportation. This position requires you to work "in the field," making in-person visits to customers three to four days per week.
