Essential Duties Under general supervision the Deputy District Attorney, Juvenile Administrator and under administrative supervision of the Office Administrator, the Juvenile Team Secretary will:Create new case filesReceive juvenile petitionspolice reports and corresponding statements from victimswitnessesProvide clerical support to one (1) Deputy and up to three (3) attorneys engaged in prosecuting juvenile defendants.TypePrepare letters, memos and data entry of police reports.Prepare subpoenasRequest copies of labs and lab fee sheets.Gain and maintain J-Net certificationRun criminal history for Assistant District AttorneysProvides discovery to defense attorneysAnswers phones and directs callsPicks up and distributes mail dailyOther duties as assigned Qualifications High school graduate or equivalentOne to two years previous work experience in the DA?s Office preferredStrong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong writing and oral communication skillsExcellent typing skills with comprehensive knowledge of the court systemcourt proceduresAbility to pass security background check Additional InformationResidence Requirement: The County of Delaware has a residency requirement for employees.
