Description LB&B Associates Inc. is currently accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Facility Engineer to support a long-term contract to provide operations and maintenance services for Federal buildings in New York, NY. Position is contingent upon contract award.Skills and Qualifications:The Facility Engineer shall have a minimum of 5 years of recent experience (within the past 7 years) in Engineering Design or Construction and must be proficient in reviewing and commenting on Design Intent Drawings, As-Built Drawings, and some cost estimating experience. Additionally, the Facility Engineer may manage major andor minor project and alteration services for the Contractor. The projects could be as simple as workspace alterations or creating bid specifications for one-time deferred maintenance issues for roofs, asphalt and concrete repair, plumbing, electrical and HVAC or as complex as full over-sight and management of commissioning, architectural and engineering design services and implementation for complex construction projects. These projects could include everything from new construction and additions to comprehensive overhauls of older buildings, including museums and or buildings classified under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).Key Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate a broad array of facility-related maintenance and construction, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, strategic planning and execution of renovations and new construction.Responsible for budget, estimates, tracking, monthly budget forecast and timely execution.Act as a liaison with internal GSA and state and local officials having regulatory oversight and inspection responsibilities.Ensuring projects are completed in a safe and timely manner as to not affect the tenant or customer experience.Utilize work order process through MAXIMO. Schedule work orders, place vendor bids for materials, select vendors and prepare requisitions. Estimate job costs for input into budget database.Perform daily site inspections of ongoing work and review of upcoming work. Check project areas frequently for any needed repairs and maintenance.Perform all other duties as requested.Education:Bachelor's degree Engineering, Construction or related field required.The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill andor ability required.
