Physician Assistant (PA), Gynecology (GYN)

Job DescriptionOur client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Physician Assistant (PA), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN). RESPONSIBILITIES: Work alongside Chair of Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery With approval of supervising physician, orders diagnostic and laboratory tests. Reports results of all clinical and diagnostic findings to supervise physicians and with himher, communicates results of medical examinations to patients. Formulates appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans, writes appropriate orders. Performs procedures on patients as defined in the DepartmentDivision Delineation of Privileges. Documents all diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and other relevant information in patient's chart. Notifies attending physicians of any change of patient's status or unexpected events requiring direct physician consultation. Participates in patient care rounds, teaching conferences and appropriate quality assurance meetings. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, compliance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. REQUIREMENTS: 2-3+ years of experience in Women's Health OBGYN Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited PA program. Licensed by the NY State Department of Education Board certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification for Physicians Assistant) BCLS certification.
