This is an opportunity to work with one of the top producing hedge fund Sales Coverage teams on the street. The ideal candidate will have prior experience on a sales & trading desk, or another salesbusiness development role, ideally with a focus or exposure to Hedge Fund clients. The eventual hire will be joining at an exciting time for the firm as we embark on an ambitious growth plan in the US Equity Market.ResponsibilitiesWorking with senior salespeople and traders in building relationships with our North American institutional client base, which includes hedge funds, mutual funds and family offices.Assist the team in growing and broadening its hedge fund coverage in the North America region.Develop a thorough understanding of stocks covered by Redburn, and learn how to translate our research into actionable investment ideas for clients.Collaborate with other teams such as research, trading and corporate access to enhance our offering.Manage a variety of ad hoc projects for the Head of North American Sales Desk including presentations, data management and client administration.Education and Qualifications BS or BA mandatory; financeeconomics concentration preferred2-6 years of work experience, preferably in hedge fund coverage or hedge fund equity sales. Working knowledge of Bloomberg and SalesforceExperience, Skills and Competencies RequiredWorking knowledge of Equity and Capital MarketsConnectivity to hedge fundsPassion for markets, particularly Equity Strategies and stock pitchesNatural drive for Sales, Business Development and Client ProspectingAbility to develop and manage client relationshipsConfident, outgoing and enthusiastic personalityA strong work ethic and an ability to learn quicklyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, detail orientated, reliable and conscientiousAbility to travelMust be willing to work full-time in our Manhattan officeExpected base salary rates for this role in our New York Office will be between $100,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
