Join us and make an impact today!POSITION PURPOSE:CIM is seeking to recruit an experienced fundraising professional to work closely with the Head of Insurance to spearhead the growth of the firm's financial institutions business in North America, with a particular focus on the insurance channel. The opportunity to join CIM as an integral member of the insurance team offers the successful candidate a key role in the firm's growth strategy through the development and implementation of a focused asset gathering and relationship management plan across the continent. The position offers significant career growth opportunities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as an integral member of the North America Institutional Distribution Group working closely with Head of Insurance to spearhead the firm's strategy around messaging, investor engagement, and capital raising within the insurance space. Responsible for promoting the firm's full suite of real estate, infrastructure, and credit investment products and capabilities to the FIG channel in North America. Obtain new insurance general account relationships by leveraging current network and developing new relationships in addition to leveraging firm-wide relationships with insurers. Key contributor to bringing complex and innovative solutions to insurance clients and prospects. This person must anticipate risks to the firm's investor base and ensure that marketing strategies are aligned with an evolving competitive landscape. The successful candidate will contribute to raising the overall profile of CIM in the insurance community by communicating clearly and confidently to the marketplace.Provide exceptional client service to existing client base. This candidate is expected to travel significantly. EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)Professional Experience and Skills Ideally a minimum of 7+ years of institutional fundraising experience, with 3 to 5+ years' experience in insurance. Brings a solid understanding of the insurance market, including knowledge in risk-based capital, ALM and asset allocation decisions. Heshe will have experience influencing investment decision makers within the insurance channel, and preferably will have experience representing private market strategies. A successful track record of raising capital and building deep and lasting relationships with key decision makers in the insurance space. A strong understanding of risk-based capital standards and how NAIC regulations impact insurers' needs for certain products and structures. Insight into relevant industry trends and the regulatory landscape, credibility with the insurance audience, and the relationships required to increase penetration in this channel. Entrepreneurial self-starter with the willingness to roll up their sleeves in a growth-oriented firm. Education and Credentials Candidates should have an undergraduate degree from a leading educational institution. Although not specifically required, additional credentials such as an MBA or CFA charterholder would be considered a plus.
