Job DescriptionThe General Manager is the senior representative for ABM, on a full time basis at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, responsible for the administration and operation of the public parking facilities in accordance with contract provisions between the airport and ABM.Responsible for those client facilities and personnel under his her supervision to ensure that the Company is providing professional and quality service and to ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and compliance standards established by the Company, by our Clients, and by regulatory authorities. Employee is also responsible for ensuring that the planned budgetary and profitability of responsible accounts is realized.Pay: $105,000 - $115,000 salaryThe pay listed is the salary range for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Staff & ManagementSpecific Duties Essential Job Functions: Communicate effectively with employees and clients to ensure fulfillment of performance and quality requirements. Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the required practices, programs, and activities of all the ABM administrative, supervisory, cashier, attendant and other personnel engaged in operating the facilities. Abide by and ensure adherence to established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures of ABM and the Client as applicable to the facilities. Maintain close and proper liaison with the Client on day-to-day operational problems and assure cooperation of ABM staff with authorized representatives of the Client. Originate and enforce standards regarding parking employees' personal appearance and demeanor to assure a professional, first-class operation. Responsible for the preparation and evaluation of the monthly billing and providing the required management reports as directed by the Department of Aviation and its Finance Department. Maintain a petty cash account, which is to be used for purchases to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted parking operation as well as authorize and approve the purchase of supplies, services and materials associated with the administration and operation of the facilities. Assure the timely submission of required operational and administrative reports to designated Client management and the Regional Manager regarding pertinent parking operations activities and revenues generated. Oversee all administrative activities carried on by subordinate personnel. Assure cooperation and communication with Client Staff regarding equipment malfunctions, conditions and maintenance requirements on a timely basis. Establish and maintain an on-going daily maintenance log, indicating location, date, and time of notification. Responsible for the submission of a yearly operational budget, requesting funds for all phases of the parking facilities operation directly controlled by the Contractor. Provide a budget analysis and substantiate each item's increase or decrease from the prior year. Conduct unannounced personal inspections at various times, to observe and evaluate performance of subordinate personnel in fulfilling service standards. Conduct facility inspections on a frequent basis, advising the client of any required needs to preserve the safety and appearance of the facilities. Be responsible for compliance with all U.S. Government, State and City requirements, codes and statutes regarding employment and equal employment opportunities. Be responsible for analyzing operational activities and make recommendations to the Aviation Department. Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training of all employees in hisher area of responsibility. Ensure this is done in accordance with established procedures and in a cost-effective manner. Ensure that each employee receives proper training commensurate with the job responsibilities assigned and that all training is properly documented and maintained according to Company standards. Ensure that duty managers and supervisors are properly trained and understand their assigned duties. Ensure that payroll is prepared and transmitted in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure that any injuries, incidents, accidents, etc are documented, reported and processed appropriately. Monitor safety program within area of responsibility and communicate with Safety Quality Managers on a frequent basis to ensure compliance with all Company safety standards.
