Purpose of the PositionThe Company is an early-stage cybersecurity startup seeking a proven executive to lead its end-to-end technology organization as Chief Technology Officer ("CTO"). The CTO will build and lead a globally distributed technology team andwork alongside world class peers in the Executive Leadership Team. Developing the product andtechnology vision and roadmap and aligning it with the Company's progressive and innovativebusiness strategy, the CTO will be an inspiring leader who is responsible for developing a combinationof product, platform, and technology services that will drive revenue and value creation for the globalbusiness. The CTO will have full oversight over product, engineering, enterprise architecture,corporate systems, and technology infrastructure. Additionally, she will ultimately be in charge ofResearch and Development (R&D) and should be well-versed in AIML, fostering a highly collaborativerelationship with the R&D leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesKey organizational responsibilities for the Chief Technology Officer will include:•Implement overall engineering strategy, technology, process, and human capital capable ofsupporting scalable, functional, and reliable product offerings that increase the Company'ssuccess.•Define a strategic vision that enables the Company's suite of products to create the greatestimpact and growth.•Develop, maintain and execute against the technology roadmap and prioritize activities to align withbusiness requirements as set forth by the Executive Leadership Team.•Build strong working relationships with other executive leaders who are key stakeholders. Whilefostering collaboration, the R&D team will report directly to this person, ensuring alignment withstrategic goals.•Execute a strategy to engineer the capabilities and services in and around the company's AImedium at the speed of design and creativity.•Help enable a strong R&D culture that partners deeply with business opportunities to generateextra-ordinary product and competitive market advantages.•Manage and oversee the entire enterprise technology portfolio including corporate IT systems,vendor relationships, system support and infrastructure.•Establish effective decision-making and investment plans for major technology projects andinitiatives. Prioritize and allocate the necessary human, technological and financial resourcesnecessary to complete approved projects and to improve overall efficiencies in technologydelivery and operations.•Monitor and maintain close strategic relationships with existing and future technology vendors,ensuring partnerships are aligned with our strategic operational and financial objectives.•Provide enterprise-wide technology leadership across all business units and shared services.Work closely with other technical leaders to implement appropriate policies and procedures toensure system and regulatory compliance, IT security, and the effective utilization of technologyresources by employees.•Maintain a strong grasp of industry trends, cutting-edge technology and both AI and cybersecuritychanges to ensure that the Company remains in a leading position with its competitors.•Drive and develop an exceptional level of excellence in technical craft within the engineeringorganization; recruit and retain top technical talent; define a world-class engineering culture of funand high energy where engineers can do the best work.The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, but more importantly will be a strongleader with the ability to articulate and drive a proactive engineering and product vision for theorganization. The Chief Technology Officer will have a proven ability to influence and leadengagement and best practice implementation across various functions, with a particular focus onR&D, product management, and operations. Experience in AI and ML from bothengineering and product perspectives is essential.Prospective candidates will have demonstrated leadership in providing strategic guidance throughoutan organization and a track record of delivering quantifiable results. Importantly, the CTO will havedemonstrated the ability to quickly assess and correctly act upon current and future consumer andindustry trends. Experience in a B2B SaaS company is optimal, as is experience with advancedtechnology, cybersecurity, FinTech and AI-driven products. Experience in international markets,including launching new business operations, would be ideal.Stylistically, the CTO must be entrepreneurial and results-driven, as well as be a collaborative leaderwho is willing to roll up their sleeves in order to design and drive strategic initiatives. She must buildeffective relationships through collaboration, influence, and domain expertise.Experience and Professional QualificationsAdditional professional qualifications will include, but not be limited to, the following:•15+ years of relevant experience in an enterprise software or cybersecurity company with ademonstrated ability to effectively lead a technology organization and operate strategically andproactively at the intersection of business and technology.•10+ years in a leadership role to include a strong record of building teams through leadership,direction, and coaching.•Ability to develop a technology vision and strategies that can be operationalized, are commerciallysustainable and help to achieve competitive advantage.•Working knowledge in architecture, design, software development, database managementsystems, and systems in multi-platform environments.•Extensive experience managing an engineering team in a B2B SaaS business and digital platformsof relevant scale.•Prior experience in start-up software or cybersecurity company required.•Expert knowledge of current technology trends, best practices, and talent management.•Strong analytical skills with the proven capability to use data to drive business decisions.
