Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.The Manufacturing Engineer I will focus on process improvement, optimization of manufacturing equipment, capital improvement projects, and project management. The Manufacturing Engineer I will also troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in both process and equipment.RequirementsWe are searching for a candidate with:Bachelor of Mechanical EngineeringWorking knowledge of CADCAM software and Microsoft Office Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills Experience designing a wide variety of tooling, fixturing, and automation equipment Project management skills and experience1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment (metal fabricationassembly)Duties and ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas Design and develop new tooling and fixtures alongside the product development team Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion Establish an effective and efficient work sequence Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems Benefits of Working With UsSalary for Applicants: $75,000 - $85,000 per year - actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
