The AM Server maintains all dining room environments and equipment. The AM Server is responsible for ensuring the dining room is clean and tidy, assisting guests when they have questions about the menuswine list, taking guests' orders, anticipating guests' needs and addressing them accordingly.This position has an hourly rate of $16.50 + Tips.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReview menu for changes and specialsAlways provide excellent service to all of our guestsReview your workstation and your mise en place, make sure all is up to par before you start your shiftSet tables and stations up to company standardsKeep the dining room and workstation clean and organized, ensure that all silverware and glasses are wiped and spotlessTake guest food and beverage ordersExtensive knowledge of food and beverage to service and up-sell our product, including liquors and cocktailsReview soignecheat sheet before approaching the tableMark tables appropriately to food order for each courseAlways confirm order with the guest and double check accuracy of order before sending to the kitchenFollow SOP's on placing orders with allergies and dietary restrictionsSet up tables according to hosts' communicationEnter all sales in POS without errors. Double check list of items before "sending"Be responsible for making decisions during absence of management with the needs of the guest in mindMake sure that all products served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting to the guestSet the pace and direct the flow of serviceUpkeep and clear tables between courses throughout the mealSupport the server assistant as needed to secure service to our guests up to our standardsVerify guest satisfaction with each table during each course servedAnticipate guest needs, where guests will never have to ask for anythingWish each guest a warm welcome and farewell and thank them for comingEnsure all closing side-works are thoroughly completedAt the end of the shift deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place according to the rulesSetting and maintaining the dining room environment ensuring materials are perfectly clean and organizedFollowing the posted opening and closing duties and side-work sheetAttend daily pre mealcommunication meetings & monthly departmental meetingsGenerate a good atmosphereAll other responsibilities assigned by managementREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS3 years' experience in a luxury hotel environment or similar restaurant or food and beverage settingMust be available to work 6am-3pmMust have open availability and able to work weekendsPositive, engaging, and energetic personalityAble to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervisionVery high attention to detailSensitive to cultural nuancesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal on EnglishAble to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environmentExcellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholdersAbility to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policiesAbility to stand for extended periods of timeMulti-lingual is a plusTIPS and ServSafe Certified
