Pharmacy Director - Long Term Care Pharmacy

Our client, an innovative independently-owned long-term care pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager to add to their team.Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations and direct pharmacy staff on scheduling, purchasing, clinical matters and other tasksWork with pharmacy management to ensure implementation of quality and cost containment strategiesProvide clinical and technical support as neededRespond to customers and pharmacy staff, interpreting needs and offering information and adviceMaintain patient database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the team and patients and their family members in the pharmacy systemObtain and maintain all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and corporate compliance policyImplement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs and biologicals, as well as disposal of drugsQualifications: REQUIREMENTS:At least two years of operational leadership experience in a long term care pharmacy setting.BS in Pharmacy or a Pharm D DegreeLicensed to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Illinois (active and in good standing)Stable work history, exceptional communication skills and customer service focus a must.Experience providing leadership for a medium to large team of pharmacists desired.
