This role will provide expert financial and analytical support for Contingency and International Programs and Military Personnel operations, based at the Pentagon. The Budget Analyst SME IV will assist in creating and validating manpower funding models, interpreting personnel deployment requirements for budget formulation, and ensuring accurate integration and reporting of financial data. The position also involves liaison work with the Joint Staff and military components to validate deployment statuses and manage funding projections. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in budget formulation, DoD manpower planning, and military personnel funding, coupled with exceptional analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and support mission-critical objectives. Through innovative transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the creation, validation, and maintenance of manpower funding models for Department of Defense (DoD) activities.Test assumptions using current and historical dataAssist government leads as a liaison to the Joint Staff and military components of the DoD to collect and validate personnel deployment statusUse DoD systems, tools, and plans to create or modify funding projectionsProvide support with the collection and integration of financial data, including the data calls to collect such information, to include determining the appropriate analytic methods to develop reports and briefings.Review monthly financial data, monitor, reconcile, and report data against plans, forecasts, and budget targets, as needed to perform analysis and generate summary and detail reports and executive level information terpret personnel deployment requirements, plans, and historical data for use in budget formulationAssist with the distribution and consolidation of RFIs from internal and external organizations.Assist with the development Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Required QualificationsMaster's degree from an accredited collegeuniversityMinimum 10 years of relevant experience Willing to work onsite at the Pentagon dailyMust possess a Secret clearanceDemonstrated motivation and initiativeMust be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with pivot tables and other advanced features of ExcelMust have excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent writing skills and the ability to quickly deliver quality written products in constrained time periodsMust have outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoDMust have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers Desired SkillsExtensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutionsDoD Manpower experience to include understanding of the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) and Secretary of Defense Orders Book (SDOB).Experience with and understanding of budget formulation and justification for military personnel funding in support of contingency operationsExperience with DoD systems such as NGRMS, B2A, CIS, JPERSTAT, etc.Experience in formulating long-range budgetary requirements, based on established policies and concepts.Ability to multi-task across multiple projectsFederal budget or DoD budget experience Company (Client) BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchGenerous vacation and paid federal holidaysShort Term Disability benefitsBasic Life Insurance - 100% for employeeMonthly internet reimbursementParking reimbursementTraining, professional development, educational assistance Birthday recognitionAbout BizFirstBizFirst is a pioneering US-owned company that bridges the gap between job seekers and employers in the small business, commercial, enterprise, and government sectors.
