Lead contract strategy development, evaluate our construction supply base, and negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts for Semiconductor Fabrication facility projects. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and effectively present ideas to leaders is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Supplier Relationship GloballyAct as the primary point of contact for assigned construction projectsPerform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliersMaintain collaborative relationships with suppliers while effectively resolving performancecapability issues to ensure alignment with Micron's strategic directionEnsure suppliers align with Micron's business ethics, code-of-conduct programs, and corporate safety policies and social responsibility municate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization, including Executive LeadershipProvide the voice of the supply base to Micron and vice versaDrive Best Value Pricing Solutions with SuppliersLead or participate in large negotiations for construction contractsEnsure and maintain a competitive bid environmentLead sourcing eventsRFQ processesDevelop a contract strategy for each project, including crafting, negotiating, monitoring, and enforcing contracted terms and conditions.Lead bid analysis and best value pricing strategy recommendationsDrive direct, indirect, and cost avoidance saving opportunitiesManage Supplier PerformanceCollaborate with collaborators from Global Facilities and site teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of supplier performance.Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled by both Owner and ContractorLead the Change Management processCollect and relay site-specific priorities to suppliersCollaborate internally to develop key performance measuresmetrics for strategic suppliers and monitor their performance to ensure continuous improvementCoordinate and deliver strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings.Create and Implement Construction Category StrategyParticipate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal settingShare market intelligence and price trends with our collaborators, customers, partners, and team members on a consistent schedule.Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace.Be the go-to expert for construction procurement and share knowledge with collaborators to improve planning and execution.Supervisory SupportSupport procurement leadership by supervising project sourcing team membersDevelop project-level staffing support plansDocument project-level procurement strategies and timelinesMaintain key project-level priorities and monitor progress to planAct as the initial point of escalation for project-level sourcing team membersEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Major Engineering Fields, or Supply Chain Management; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus!ExperienceAble to lead multiple large-scale projects concurrently with minimal supervision and strong project management skills10+ years of experience in construction, construction management, andor construction procurement or contractingExperience in construction contract negotiations and administrationProficient in MS OfficeComfortable around Senior Leaders and Executives, with the ability to build and deliver executive-level presentationsSupervisory experience leading sourcing teamsFab construction experience is a plusPreferredExperience with industry-standard contracts (FIDIC) andor Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contractingKnowledge of CSA and MEP systems, generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction and infrastructure systemsKnowledge of innovative construction practices, including BIM technology, pre-fabrication, etc.Knowledge of project controls and standard project reportingTravelOccasional travel We look forward to you join our team!The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$114,500.00 - $195,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
