We have a progressive culture, led by an empowered team of employees whose goal is to be the best we can be, while enjoying every moment we are at work.The RoleReporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, the Retail & Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that influence consumer purchasing behavior at the retail level. This role bridges and drives results between brand marketing and sales, ensuring that marketing initiatives align with both brand objectives and retailer strategies to deliver results. The ideal candidate will have robust CPG retail & shopper marketing experience (5+ years) that utilizes brand marketing understanding and translates to drive conversion at the retail level, ideally in beverage. ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic development of retail "pull strategies" that leverage a synergy of brand marketing, shopper insights and retailer understanding to deliver against key business objectives including driving trial and increased consumption of Zevia at key retailers. Overcome shopper barriers and tap into insights that drive purchase by crafting executional plans that can help Zevia win with custom and toolbox programs that can utilize a mix of tactics across retail marketing including instore, digital media, social media, influencers, retailer loyalty programs, POS, sweepstakes, demos and incentivesrebates.Plan and manage budget accurately, ensuring to prioritize and allocate resources as efficiently and effectively as possible Lead program analysis to provide post mortems that distill learning and key conclusions and lead recommendations continued optimization. Collaborate effectively as key liaison to sales team, across marketing and ecommerce teams to seamlessly make connections and move retail programming forward, including project leadership of sales needs developed by marketing. Drive annual, quarterly and ongoing planning processes that deliver against retail and business priorities, budget needs, retail tentpole moments, custom programs and everyday retail needs to drive business growth. Lead and partner on the development of creative and compelling selling materials and tools that drive excitement and commitment from buyers and distributors. Lead the development and management of trade focused programs such as dealer loaders, POS. Recommend and drive the retail focused part of the Marketing calendar that drives synergy with the overall Brand Marketing activity. Constantly look for integration of what Influencer, Social and Brand Mkt teams are leading to suggest and advocate for strengthening retail support with key optimizations.Collaborate with marketing team on online pickupdelivery and 3P delivery to recommend strategic programming based on customer goals, understanding budgets and priorities. Deliver on marketing needs and coordination for trade shows.Other duties as assigned Requirements Robust shopper marketing experience that utilizes brand marketing understanding and translates to drive conversion at the retail level (National, channel specific, marketing specific, account specific shopper marketing and trade programs). Consumershopper insights and barriers understanding. Action driver and ability to thrive even when the path isn't always clear (growth companymindset) with high level of personal accountability and follow through. Ability to lead thinking across groups and levels driven by subject matter expertise and clear communication. Strong understanding of digital marketing, retailer platforms, loyalty programs. 5+ years in CPG, experience in beverage preferred. Demonstrated ability to create winning programs in non DSD environment (DSD experience on top is a plus). Excellence in execution and follow through with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines autonomously. Strong collaboration skills including ability to be the connection point across two functions (marketingsales). Ability evaluate and to drive action through others such as vendors, suppliers, agencies. Passion for efficiency and effectiveness and ability to think about the big picture strategically.
