Make a bigger differencePOSITION OVERVIEW: The Social Work Residency Manager, under the direction of the Director of Student and Post-Graduate Learning, will oversee the management, growth, and continuous quality improvement of the Jewish Board's Social Work Residency program. The Social Work Residency is a new and innovative post-graduate training program designed to further specialized knowledge and skill development in specific areas of clinical social work for recent MSW graduates. The Social Work Residency Manager will be responsible for program design, building and managing relevant community connections, recruiting residents, and managing the ongoing enhancement and growth of the program. The Social Work Residency Manager will also participate in other Learning Department functions including staff development and internship management.KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:•Work with Learning Department and Clinical Leadership to monitor and enhance the program's vision and structure as needed while managing day-to-day program operations.•Build, manage, and maintain connections with relevant community partners including schools of social work, associations, internal government relation personnel and networks. Including all communication and presentations.•Work with the Marketing Department to create materials that describe and promote the program on both external and internal platforms.•Supports administrative aspects of application development, launch, tracking and scoring for the recruitment of residents.•Lead and organize the selection process of residents from a qualified pool of applicants to be interviewed, annually.•Schedule interviews and manage communication with candidates, calendar invites, coordination of physical location and remote interviews•Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure successful preboarding and onboarding of residents annually, including facilitating the limited permit process with NYS.•Collaborate with Jewish Board programs regarding placement of residents including orientation, supervision, training, and ongoing support.•Plan and facilitate virtual and in-person summer engagement events for accepted residents.•Work with the SWR Faculty and Supervisors to partner with the SWR Learning Specialists to develop and implement specialized learning for residents including orientation, foundational learning, evidence-based practice training and consultation, and supervision with external vendors.•Manage specialized residency programming including leadership development, Lean Six Sigma training and projects, peer support and advisory groups.•Oversee the ongoing enhancement of the residency program through development of a data collection and quality improvement strategy.•Ensure programmatic quality via numerous practices, e.g. regular individual and group meetings with Residency trainers and supervisors, bidirectional performance evaluations between residents and their supervisors, and benchmarking with outside programs and agencies.•Collect data and track outcomes, identifying and tracking key performance indicators.•Develop and implement strategies to retain social work residents at the agency post residency.•Direct the expansion of the residency program including increased cohort size and growth into multiple specialization areas.•Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with funders and participate in securing additional funding for the program.•Other duties as assigned.CORE COMPETENCIES for the position include:•Demonstrated excellence in program development and management•Demonstrated commitment to social work and professional development•Strong skills in writing and outcomes-based evaluation•Clinical experience in behavioral health best practices•Knowledge and skills in cultural humility•Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills•Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the agency•Organized with an ability to work independently to complete projects•Excellent listening and problem-solving skills•Skilled decision-maker and project manager that works proactively in an outcome-focused environmentEDUCATIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED :•Master's degree in Social Work•LMSW required;
