Job DescriptionHealthPartners is hiring a Director of Pharmacy Sales and Account Management. They provide leadership in sales and marketing efforts in order to effectively understand market dynamics. They work in strong partnership with HealthPartners Sales and Account teams in shared efforts to retain and grow business, including shared sales goals. This role is responsible for partnering with Commercial growth leadership and PBM Sales growth team to create and pull-through strategic plan for growth and retention. They will work collaboratively with HealthPartners Sales team to build and strengthen consultant and broker relationships. This role maintains strong industry knowledge. They analyze prospect and current customer drug utilization data to formulate and present compelling value proposition stories, as needed. They develops forward facing content for sales team, broker and client consumption and drives content production for new business proposals. This director oversees other team members who partner with account management and pharmacy related proposal content and management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or related field OR at least seven years experience in pharmacy claims processing, benefits, and management. Demonstrated success working for at least five years in a direct pharmacyPBM account management or sales role with growth objectives, or similar role within an employer consulting firm with similar objectives. Minimum of three years general health care experience in a customer service oriented environment with a demonstrated understanding of healthcare and the HMO industry.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 5 years managementleadership experience. Ability to lead and implement change. Ability to interact with individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization. Ability to develop and manage relationships with internal sales teams as well as brokers, consultants, and senior level client leadership. Strong management, leadership, and team building skills. Ability to lead in-person and virtual meetings effectively and representing pharmacy related topics. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including sales presentation skills Strong written and oral communication skills. Advanced analytical skills. Essential Duties: % Of Time (minimum 5% increments) 1. Sales Support Partner with Commercial growth leaders to create and pull-through strategic plan for growth Develop, own, and manage relationships with consultant and broker pharmacy practice leaders. Partner with others to develop messaging promoting the value of HealthPartners integrated drug management program Partners with HealthPartners Sales teams in developing and maintaining brokerconsultant relationships, providing education and pharmacy expertise to cultivate and ultimately win and grow business. Oversees process and responds to Request for Information and Request for Proposals requested by employer groups and brokers, positioning our responses for success 70% 2. Account Management Partner with other leaders to create and pull-through a strategic plan for retention and profitability Assist with the analysis of client data and benefit designs and recommends new designs to improve trend, ensure quality and promote customer satisfaction Partner with Sales on renewals for best positioning. Provide and oversee daily support for account teams for pharmacy and medical drug management program 10% 3. Product Promotion and Support Partner with the department product group to solicit from internal teams and represent market needs to the department team Participate in the prioritization and evaluation of initiatives for development and organization Provide feedback to team members that facilitates optimal product development and maintenance Ensure that appropriate communication plans, selling plans and value performance tools are constructed as a part of the product implementation process 10% 4. Personnel Management Lead associates and others in the department who will pull-through strategic plans Responsible for the supervision of staff, including having the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward and review performance of employees. Ensures compliance to organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Evaluates productivity and assures appropriate use of staffing skills and resources. Monitors and mentors staff to achieve departmental and corporate goals. Supports the department in attaining financial goals including cost containment and appropriate utilization of staff and resources. Creates and promotes environment of continual quality improvement, personal ownership and teamwork across the team and department. 5% 5. Department Leadership & Planning Assist with department level annual planning and strategies. Partner with department leaders and team members to promote teamwork and effective end to end department processes 5% LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY: Directly oversees work of 2-4 salaried Account Management and operational support staff Account Manager, Pharmacy Admin. Product Consultant, Pharmacy Admin.
