We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:This is a casual position8-hour dayevening shiftsJob Description:Manages patient care infusion encounters by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary hematologyoncology care team members, along with internal and external ancillary partners, in a fast-paced environment. Dedicated to the growth and development of the Allina Health Cancer Institute, incorporating evidence-based practice initiatives that align with ONS, NCCN, COC, and organizational standards of care.Principle ResponsibilitiesDelivery of chemotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care to hematologyoncology patients in accordance with Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards, and Allina Health Cancer Institute plete Patient Assessment and Education.Collaborate with health care team in order to coordinate and maintain continuity of care.Administrative tasks including indirect nursing activities which promote quality patient care.Documentation of care per Allina Health Cancer Institute policies and practice.Maintain overall accountabilityresponsibility for assigned patientsComply with research protocols.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAssociate's or Vocational degree in Nursing. Along with 1 year of ambulatory chemobiotherapy experience or 3 years inpatient chemobiotherapy infusion experience0 to 2 years experience with Ambulatory ChemotherapyBiotherapy Infusion. May consider nurses with 2 or more years inpatient chemobiotherapy infusion experiencePreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing0 to 2 years Peripheral IV Insertion skills. Or willing to be trained within 60 days of hire0 to 2 years Phlebotomy skills. Or willing to be trained within 60 days of hire0 to 2 years experience EPIC EMR, including Beacon application. Or willing to be trained at time of hireLicensesCertificationsONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Provider Card required upon completion of Allina onboarding, within 30 days of hireOncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation must be obtained within 3 years of hire required for those hired before April 1, 2024; for those hired onafter April 1, 2024, must obtain within 30 monthsLicensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing requiredMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below:•Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association•Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross•Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)Physical DemandsMedium Work*:Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $41.98 to $58.08 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
