This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' EngineerDesign roadway systems and related transportation structures, including performing calculations and cost estimating, under the guidance of a Senior Transportation Engineer.Coordinate layout and drawings with other disciplines.Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts.Prepare technical specifications.Participate in proposal and report writing.Reviews and evaluates shop drawings and product submittals.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 3 years' experience performing the essential duties outlined above.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and other related software.Ability to interpret geotechnical and hydraulic support data pertinent to roadway design.Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients and agency staff.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Experience in construction and fieldwork, specification writing, and highway design concepts is preferred.A note on hourly pay rangesThe range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
