They will also promote effective functioning and operations of inpatient, outpatient, and satellite pharmacies in coordination with other professional and administrative disciplines.Roles and Responsibilities: Directs pharmaceutical personnel with respect to compounding and dispensing of drugs in accordance with prescribed policies and standards and legal requirements, requestioning and procurement of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies, inventory control and maintenance, storage of supplies and their issuance and maintenance of such control and standards, orderliness and cleanliness of Pharmacy area, and inspection programsParticipates in the development and implementation of pharmaceutical service programs consistent with the medication needs of the patients, including control and accountability of drug products, requisitioning and dispensing of pharmaceutical supplies to nursing care units and to other departments of the hospital Participates with the hospital medical staff in the formulation and development of policies regarding the evaluation, selection, procurement, storage, distribution, use, and all other matters relating to drugs in the hospital with consideration being given to the following:a. Drug Formulary b. Evaluations or clinical data on new drugs or preparations for use in hospitalsc. Investigational drug protocolsd. Drugs to be stocked and other related servicesMinimum Qualifications1. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Pharmacist issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED); and2.
