To be successful, managing a referral network with fund formation lawyers, fund auditors, and prime brokers is essential. ResponsibilitiesThe Business Development position is client-facing and has the following responsibilities:Acquire new clients to achieve your yearly new revenue targetManage your sales pipeline process by identifying prospects, qualifying new business opportunities, drafting proposals and closing deals (new fund lunches or making clients switch to Apex)Manage the sales process end to end, including researching prospects, uncover buyer's needs, tailoring marketing materials, deliver the value proposition, up- and cross-selling, managing RFPs, and leading a multidisciplinary (intercontinental) deal teamMonitoring relevant market development and trends in the alternative investment management industryIncrease brand value by (co-)organizing eventsDevelop and manage a network of investment managers, fund sponsors, trustees, counsels, auditors, and other key industry playersCollaborate with colleagues across regions and areas of specialization to achieve business objectivesHave robust knowledge of Apex's offering and value propositionLog sales activities in our CRM-software SalesforcePersonal profileSeasoned sales professional with over 8 years of direct sales experience in financial services, preferably in the alternative investment management industryStrong networker that is able to pursue prospects and key industry players to work with ApexDemonstrated experience with managing sales processes end to endProven track record of achieving sales targetsKnowledge of alternative investment strategiesDetail-oriented to be able to successfully sell to complex solutions to detail-oriented prospects and to handle client requestsobjections in an appropriate mannerEffective communicator and strong listener with the analytical capability to match client's needs with services offeredHigh integrity and client centricUndergraduatebachelor's degree professional levelWillingness to travelWhat we OfferCompetitive uncapped sales commission25 days paid time off (PTO)401k with employer matchingMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insuranceDependent Care FSA, Employee Assistance Program, and commuter benefitsWorking in a fast growing and dynamic organizationAbility to sell to the largest and most sophisticated industry playersAbility to drive positive change in the industryWe pride ourselves in our commitment to fostering a connected and inclusive culture, all our opportunities at Apex have five days in office requirement.Salary ranges from USD $150,000.00 - USD $175,00.00 plus additional market competitive variable uncapped compensation based on performance.
